Miss USA contestants answer the big question: “Should evolution be taught in schools?”
Apparently there’s two sides to the evolution story.
Okay, wow um, evolution is not some wacky scientific scenario that has even a slight possibility of being wrong. Evolution happened and its happening right now, maybe not so much for humans now but only because life isn’t quite the fight for survival it used to be. You absolutely cannot even consider not teaching evolution in schools, it’s not a cultural belief, it’s not even a belief it’s a fact. You can’t compare evolution with intelligent design and creationism, as Lisa Simpson once said “They’re incompatible!” and it’s just plain silly. The only reason evolution is given the whole ‘theory’ tag is because evolution happens over millions of years and its impossible for people to have observed such a slow gradual change over the relatively small time frame since the idea of evolution was established.
But then again, Creationism says the Earth is less than 10,000 years old, if you believe that you’ll believe anything.
